Magic Blood Machine takes the viewers to a forest where an unspoken mythological play introduces a half-mad fairytale universe filled with mysterious rituals, grief, time travel and hope. The film - produced while Ingrid Torvundwas a bachelor student at Oslo Academy of Art - draws its inspiration from Kviteseid in West Telemark, a place known for its folk music, wood carving, storytelling and old churches, where pagan and Christian symbols exist side by side. Magic Blood Machine is made in collaboration with Jonas Mailand with soundtrack composed by Jan Erik Mikalsen.
Ingrid Torvund (b 1985 in Kviteseid,Telemark) is a recent graduate from Oslo Academy of Art. She has exhibited at Kunstnenes Hus, Oslo; Husets bio, Copenhagem and Harpefoss poetry festival (Norway).
